This book is available in printed format via the environmentally friendly POD (print-on-demand) system, which dispenses with the traditional process of printing a large number of copies, which then must be warehoused and subsequently distributed by fuel-hungry means around the earth, according to demand. Instead, the new POD technology will, on receiving an order for a single copy (or more), send an electronic request to the geographically closest POD printing facility, where the book(s) ordered will be printed and then posted to the purchaser. The author thanks you for your generosity in taking part in this system; by being willing to pay for the necessary postage, you are protecting our environment and helping to preserve it for future generations.
10% of profits from this book go to support Deaf Children of Central Asia, a Tasmanian supported charity operating in Tajikistan and providing help to deaf children, through training and supporting adult sign language tutors. This provides a common language for parents and their children, and helps the latter prepare for formal education.
